Allison Pinkowski
Founder/Chief Executive Diver
I have discovered over the years that I have a love for old things. Used things. Things with a story. Things that have had a life. I love to channel my creativity into making them usable and wanted again. This need to repurpose and repair items is where the mission of Dumpster Diva was born. My mission in my leisure time is to use my creative ability to take an unwanted item and give it a purpose again. A new color, a new shape, a new texture - a new lease on life. It might not have the same purpose it was born with, but so what? And better yet, it’s one-of-a-kind!
Do I really go dumpster diving?
Some people have asked me this. And my answer is: You’d better believe it! This is the thrill of the hunt! You can find treasure in the most unexpected (and sometimes filthy) places. My husband, Kevin, is half the operation and is brilliantly resourceful, creative and great with power tools. Together, we have so much fun working on projects and transforming them into something desirable.
